China Southern Airlines is offering a deal from Luxembourg to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, starting at just €431. This offer includes 23 kg of checked luggage. Departures are available between January and March 2026. While the flights from Luxembourg are the cheapest, they involve two layovers, with a Chinese domestic flight in the middle. Flights from Amsterdam are roughly €60 more expensive, but have quite perfect timings, with only one layover of 1-4 hours in each direction.

As mentioned before, flights from Luxembourg have two stops, requiring a Chinese domestic flight from Zhengzhou to Guangzhou in both directions. The transport would fall under China’s visa-free transit rule. Flights from Amsterdam only have a short layover in Guangzhou.
The long-haul flights from Luxembourg are operated with a Boeing 787, while the flights from Amsterdam use an Airbus A350. Both offer a solid 81 cm of legroom.
Most European passport holders can stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days, though this is expected to be reduced to 30 days in the future. You will be required to present a return ticket upon entry.
For Vietnam, many European countries can enter visa-free for up to 45 days.
Editor’s Note: This is a great price for flights to Thailand and Vietnam, coming with free luggage and generous legroom. The two layovers when flying from Luxembourg can be a bit of a bummer, but if you consider that other airlines charge almost twice as much for flights from Luxembourg to Ho Chi Minh City, the 2-hour domestic flight doesn’t seem that bad anymore.
